Foxy Brown Re-Cap…..

October 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment

According to the New York Post, Foxy Brown was removed from the general population and locked away in a segregated cell for 76 days beginning Oct. 16 after committing three violations at Rikers Island this month.

The first incident occurred on Oct. 3 while Foxy and another female inmate were headed to the dining hall for a meal in the Rose M. Singer facility, the sources said.
They started shoving each other for reasons that were not immediately clear, prompting correction officers to jump in and separate the two before things turned bloody, officials said.
The next day, Foxy was verbally abusive toward correction officers and also refused to take a random drug test, the sources said.
After the three cases were reviewed by the Department of Correction, Foxy was sentenced to 76 days in “punitive segregation” and brought to her new digs, where she can spend up to 23 hours alone in her cell.
For an hour each day, she is allowed to see visitors, meet with an attorney, go to the library or exercise in a recreation area away from the general-population inmates.
The other inmate involved in the dust-up was given 11 days in the segregation unit, authorities said.
Foxy could face more disciplinary charges when correction officials examine another case in which she refused to board a Rikers Island bus at least twice to go to a scheduled Brooklyn court date on Oct. 12.

Foxy’s At It Again….Part II

October 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Sources from The NYC Department of Corrections just released released a statement regarding Inga Marchand.
Foxy has been placed in solitary confinement for 76 days. She was placed there due to three disciplinary infractions. Some of which involved a shoving match and being disrespectful to Corrections Officers.

Can you imagine what her weave will look like after 76 days? Even Lil’ Kim manged to mind her manners during her stingt in jail.
Somebody please get this girl a Psychological Evaluation…….This is seriously getting out of hand.

Ironically, Foxy’s newest single “Light’s Out” was released to media outlets yesterday.
I sincerely hope this is not a publicity stunt on Ms. Marchands part. (That would be really sad)

I heard the track and was not overly impressed, you be the judge…

Foxy Brown….."They Set Me Up"

October 18, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Had to keep you up to date on the latest Foxy News….

(As reported by Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices)

Foxy Brown is crying foul, saying that she did not refuse to board a Rikers Island bus for a Brooklyn court date on Oct 12 as widely reported.
The formerly deaf former Def Jam Records diva, whose real name is Inga Marchand, told Metro newspaper that she was “set up” by prison officials on Friday, when she was scheduled to be arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court on charges that she smacked a neighbor, Arlene Raymond, in the face with a BlackBerry near the rapper’s Brooklyn home in July.

“We were ready and willing and dressed to go to court,” she said in a phone interview from Rikers Island. “Clearly it was very one-sided and a setup.”
As far as the published reports of her refusal to board three Brooklyn-bound buses from the jai, the ‘Ain’t No N-Word’ rapper said they were “completely, completely fabricated.”
“I’ve been very quiet, but enough is enough,” she said. “We’re very tired of these erroneous stories. Now we’re speaking out.”

In expected Foxy Brown form, she declined to specify exactly why she was unable to board the Dept. of Correction bus. But she did say she would be in court today for a rescheduled arraignment today.
Foxy is currently serving a one-year jail term for a parole violation after her 2006 guilty plea on charges of assaulting two nail salon stylists over a $20 manicure. She is also accused of an assault in Florida.
For the charges she faced Tuesday, the Brooklyn native faces up to seven years in prison, prosecutors told the Associated Press.

Brown has maintained her innocence, saying she has been a victim of her celebrity.
State Supreme Court Judge John Ingram on Tuesday rebuked Brown for missing a court date on Friday.
Assistant District Attorney Robert Isdith said Brown refused to get on the bus with other inmates, but Brown said corrections officers told her she did not need to appear in court.
“It shall not repeat itself, whatever it is,” the judge told Brown, who reportedly wore a simple brown blazer, no hair extensions and had her hands shackled in front.

Her next court date is expected in December, according to published reports.

Foxy Got On That Bus!

October 16, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Brown, real name Inga Marchand, was in court today — sporting no hair extensions and a relatively demure plaid pant outfit — to face arraignment on assault charges — four days after her originally scheduled appearance, which she missed. Her lawyer said today that Foxy was never scheduled for transport from her prison cell at Rikers Island and that’s why she missed the first hearing, but TMZ was told that she didn’t want to leave Rikers without her hair and make up done and without eating lunch.

And about that lawyer — it wouldn’t be a Foxy hearing if she didn’t do a little attorney swapping. John Sampson (also a US Senator), who had served as her counsel this summer, was brought back yesterday, we’re told, by Foxy’s mother, and Alan Stutman, who had represented the rapperista in her last two court hearings, stepped down from the thankless task.

Foxy is due back in court in December to face more music stemming from an August 14 incident in which she allegedly smacked a Brooklyn woman with her phone.

Foxy Is At It Again….

October 12, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Foxy Brown — aka Rikers Island Inmate #3470701776 — showed Britney Spears just exactly
how a true diva disses the court, refusing to show up for a hearing today — because her hair and makeup weren’t done and then because she was hungry. Ill wah wah!
Foxy, real name Inga Marchand, was supposed to appear early this morning to be arraigned at Kings County Supreme Court, but when it came time to board the bus from Rikers Island to Brooklyn, sources tell TMZ she refused — because she wasn’t ready, beauty-wise! Then, a second bus was arranged to schlep the rapperista to court, but she wouldn’t board that one because she had not yet partaken of lunch. A third bus was scheduled, but she didn’t board that one either. And it wasn’t just the judge that Foxy ditched with her diva demands. Her mother had come all the way to court to see her outside of prison, and Foxy blew her off as well! Not in the mood!
By about 12:30 p.m., Judge John Ingram finally had enough and adjourned the case until next Tuesday, Oct. 16. He told Foxy’s embattled lawyer, Alan Stutman, that if she didn’t get on the bus, he would issue a force order compelling her to do so.
When asked by TMZ why his crazy client didn’t show, Stutman could only say, “I don’t know.”
I wonder….Was it “Pizza Day” at Rikers?
