Tres Chic Style New Years Predictions & Wishes…..

While the emails are pouring in on “The In & Out” fashion trends for 2008. As promised I am compiling a list to be posted on the blog.

In the meantime, here are my personal predictions and wishes for 2008……

If I had my way, I would start some PR damage control with Britney Spears. The Holland Group would take her on as a client Pro-Bono and start to resurrect her music career. In addition, I would hire her a driver, new stylist and manager oh and maybe some security for the paparazzi……

I predict color for 2008. While black will always remain a wardrobe staple, the warm hues and jewel tones will reign supreme this Spring. Because I am totally into sewing right now, I’ve been selecting some pretty fabrics for my spring projects. Splashy Corals and warm hues are making there way into my sewing room……..

I think the high-waisted pant phenomenon will be remanded to the runways. While they look good on certain body types, Fashionistas are still a little unsure of this trend.

Stay tuned for Part II Tomorrow…..

Hot or Not for 2008……

Long hair is fab and definitely allows you to play up the glam factor (trust me, I’m the wig queen). However, despite our love affair the weaves, wigs and lace fronts may be taking a break in 2008.
I don’t have to remind you of the “Bob Ambition” , this year and the ladder part of 2007 proved asymmetrical cuts reign. It’s the perfect style if your looking to change up your look for 2008.

2008 Hot or Not….

Greetings Fashionistas….

2008 is finally here and as a prelude into our New Year I am compiling a list of “Hot or Not” for 2008. I am inviting my readers to take part in choosing what should be left in the closet and what should debut for 2008. Start sending in your picks for 2008 and I’ll be posting a survey soon.
Remember it can be fashion, lifestyle or news related………..Think Latte’s versus Cappuccino, Manolo’s versus Giuseppe Zanotti. (you get the point)
Personally I think Paris Hilton is Out and reports are swirling that Mom-to-Be Nicole Richie is In.

Hot or Not….

Still making my Best & Worst of Fashion 2007 List. I’m not too sure about this fashion trend, so I’ll let you decide…..
Rosario Dawson, Mary J Blige, Rihanna, and Heidi Klum all decided to do the “Geometric Sequin” thing in 2007. As you all know, I wasn’t too fond of Mary’s look at the AMA’s.
You be the judge…Hot or Not?

The Best & Worst of Fashion in 2007….

2007 has almost come to an end…..
While looking ahead at what promises to be a ” floral filled Spring” courtesy of The Spring 08′ Runway reports, we thought we’d take a look at the Best & The Worst Fashions of 2007.
It’s virtually impossible to cover it all in one post, so each day we’ll take a look at the fashionistas from the Eclectic & Exotic to the Bejeweled & Bedazzled Divas…..
First up, let’s take a look at the Mermaids of the Year…..
Kerry Washington, Beyonce, Rihanna & Katherine Heigl managed to get in on the fishtail look. The Worst, these looks reminded me of the Senior Prom.

Roberto Cavalli, YSL or Emilio Pucci , Nicole Richie’s pregnancy style has been the Best for 2007.

Thandie made us dizzy…Beyonce rocked the Lego look, Sloange just did her own thing once again….. and even though Serena tried….. she missed! The Worst shoes of the year.

What’s Hot & What’s Not…..

Who says you have to wait for Mr. Blackwell’s worst dressed list or the various fashion magazine reports to declare the 2007 haute collection.

Tres Chic Style can assist you in your “what’s hot & what’s not” picks for the upcoming holiday season. Remember sweeties, these are personal style opinions so don’t go sending me any nasty emails beause you just blew your bill money on a pair of Crochet Uggs featured on Oprah. Pity, Pity……

No offense to the Cake Man Raven, but the hoopla for me is so over and done…..

Gossip Girls, (nasty trifling gossip blogs that are all up in everybody’s business)

I don’t care if celebrities are rockin’ these on the Red Carpet…unless your planning a trip to Antarctica or living in an igloo….Don’t even think about wearing these.

Fishnet Stockings

Button Up In Style….

For those of you who know me, I never have a problem showing cleavage and adding that extra feminine touch, but there is a fine line between sexy and slutty.

The Bosom Button is the perfect solution. Say goodbye to those awful safety pins and try a more fashionable and simple alternative. It’s small (8 mm) and inconspicuous, yet adds a little sparkle to your outfit, especially for the holidays.

Simply pierce the button through your top and fasten the clasp. It’s that easy. Available in a Swarovski crystal, pearl and gemstone.
Price: $12 (single) & $25 (set of 3).

*This is great for the office holiday party when you want you to look sexy but remain professional…….

Hot Find of The Day…

We absolutely adore these Alexander McQueen Corsage Sandals…

The prefect combination of futurism and romanticism make these ideal shoes for any occasion.

These shoes are amazing and available at our favorite luxury site Net-A-Porter.

Turbans…Hot or Not?

Turbans are symbolic headdress, worn throughout history to convey difference in levels of purity, religiosity, social-status, by men of various racial and socioeconomic persuasion throughout the Middle East and South Asia.
So practically every style magazine has had an editorial or two featuring this season’s supposedly hit item, the turbans courtesy of Prada, or at least turban-inspired headbands. It’s also understood among everyone that the turbans are artistic to look at in photos, but not really “The It” item we will be wearing this season.
What do you think? Love it or hate it?
